Builds Confidence, Respect, and Resilience:

Vision Statement: At Growing Minds Learning, our mission is to nurture confident, curious, and capable young learners-ages 4-5-by honoring their voices, valuing what they learn, and blending play with academics in a respectful, inclusive micro-school community. We create a foundation where children are seen, heard, and supported, with space for parent involvement that is encouraged, but not required.

Parent Involvement:  We view parents as essential partners in this journey. While involvement is never expected, families are warmly invited into the classroom to share in the experience. Parents are encouraged to offer their own expertise from their life journey, and we deeply value their thinking and perspective as we work together to support each child’s growth and development.

Our Program

At Growing Minds, we offer a comprehensive kindergarten readiness program designed to support the whole child. We are value driven, nonsecular and welcoming to families of all beliefs. We are grateful to be able to use space at St. Elizabeth’s Church, though Growing Minds operates independently and is a non-religious program. Our goal is to help young learners build the academic, social, and emotional skills they need to thrive in a classroom setting—while honoring their natural curiosity and need for movement.

With a hands-on approach and very little paperwork, children learn through meaningful play, exploration, and creative experiences. Our environment offers room to wiggle, move, and grow—because we believe learning should be active, joyful, and engaging!

Daily Schedule

At Growing Minds, our week is thoughtfully balanced to nurture both academic growth and social-emotional development.

✔️ Core academics—reading, writing, phonics, and math—will be taught in the mornings, Monday through Wednesday, using hands-on, age-appropriate activities.

✔️ Afternoons are dedicated to helping children learn how to manage stress and emotions through meditation, yoga, and child-led projects based on their interests.

✔️ One day a week, we take learning beyond the classroom with field trips that connect to our social studies and science curriculum, making learning meaningful and memorable.

✔️ Fridays are a day off from our program. Families can use this time for rest, bonding, or to reinforce the week’s lessons at home. I’m happy to share suggestions for local activities, events, or drop-in programs that can enhance your child’s learning in informal ways.
