A Lifetime of Teaching Excellence
With years of experience in education, I retired from public school teaching last year—but my passion for working with young children has never been stronger. Throughout my career, I’ve taught students from preschool through 5th grade in a variety of settings, always striving to create nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
A Rich and Diverse Teaching Background
My journey began in Catholic school, then expanded to include a year at Windsor Academy, where I worked with behaviorally challenged students. For the last 25 years, I taught at Willard School in Ridgewood, NJ, where I built deep roots in the community and developed a strong foundation in early childhood education.
In addition to classroom teaching, I also taught graduate-level education courses for teachers through Trenton State College, sharing my knowledge and mentoring the next generation of educators.
A New Chapter in Education
While I loved my years in the public school system, I’m now excited to offer a more personalized, child-centered approach through my microschool, Growing Minds. This new venture allows me to combine decades of experience with the flexibility to meet each child where they are — academically, emotionally, and socially.
I’m passionate about creating a warm, school-like experience that helps children transition confidently into kindergarten, while allowing them to learn at their own pace and in their own way!
